UK DOT updates Plug-In Grant status

The UK  Department of Transport has recently updated it list of EV that are eligible for grants. The grant covers 25% of the car with a £5,000 cap.

As of 31 December 2011, 892 claims have been made through the Plug-in Car Grant scheme, with Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) data showing that 1,052 cars eligible for the Grant were registered over the same period.
The UK government have allocated £400 million to ultra low carbon technologies. Thsi apparantly comprises approximately £80 million supporting research and development activities; £20 million for the installation of infrastructure; and, subject to review, provision of around £300 million to support consumer incentives.
